What products do you buy?
We buy back any Monarch Precious Metals branded gold or silver bar or round. We will also buy other brands of .999+ fine gold and silver bars and rounds. We do not currently buy 90%, 40%, and 35% silver U.S. coins or any other types of precious metals (platinum, palladium, etc) and we only buy .999+ fine gold and silver (no .925 sterling or other gold or silver with purity less than .999). We do not currently buy gold or silver shot/grain or silver bars larger than 100 oz. We reserve the right to refuse any buy-back transaction.
How much do you pay for .999 gold and silver?
At present, we pay 99% of current spot price for any Monarch Precious Metals branded item. The price paid for other brands of .999 fine gold and silver bars and rounds will vary (usually 95% to 98% of current spot price). Please contact us for more information.
Do you have a minimum transaction amount?
Yes, when you sell to us, we require a minimum purchase amount of 10 troy ounces of .999 silver or 5 grams of .999 gold. We will accept gold and silver in any increment (1/4 gram rounds up to 100 oz bars) but we do not purchase groups with less than 10 troy ounces of total weight in silver or 5 grams total weight in gold. We do not purchase gold or silver grain/shot or silver bars larger than 100 oz (e.g. no 25 Kilo or 1,000 oz silver bars, etc). We reserve the right to refuse any buy-back transaction.
What steps do I need to take in order to sell to you?
Selling to us is quick and easy. Just follow these simple steps:
- Register for your free account on our website. If you already have an account, make sure that your contact information is up to date (email address, phone number, and shipping address).
- Email us at sales@MonarchMint.com to pre-approve your transaction and lock in your spot price. Be sure to let us know how many total ounces of gold or silver you would like to sell as well as the brand(s), size(s), and quantity of each bar and/or round. If the bar or round you would like to sell is un-branded please indicate "generic" in your email. Please Note: Customers may email us at any time to request a purchase quote, but spot prices can only be locked in during our regular office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am to 2pm, Pacific time).
- Once we have reviewed your information, we will email you back with a spot price and buy-back confirmation number. Your spot price will be locked in for the next 48 hours. You will have up to 48 hours to provide us with proof of shipping in the form of an online tracking/shipping confirmation number. If proof of shipping is not received within 48 hours, your transaction will be canceled.

What shipping method do you recommend I use when sending my gold or silver to you?
You are free to use whatever shipping method you prefer, however for your own protection we recommend shipping via USPS Registered Mail which includes insurance and provides for the highest level of security in transport. In addition, we recommend double boxing your shipment for added protection. Insurance is recommended for all non-Registered Mail packages as we will not be held responsible for any damage/loss that may occur in transit. If a package arrives at our facility with visible damage, we will refuse the delivery and have it returned to sender. All packages must include some form of online tracking as proof of shipment such as USPS Delivery or Signature Confirmation, etc.
How will I be paid?
Payment is made by check or bank wire transfer. You may also choose to accept payment in the form of store credit to be applied towards the purchase of products from our website. If you opt to receive payment by check, it will be sent to you via USPS First Class Mail at no additional charge. If you would like to upgrade to USPS Priority Mail, there will be a shipping fee of $7.50 deducted from your payment amount. If you would like to upgrade to USPS Express Mail, there will be a shipping fee of $26.00 deducted from your payment amount. If you opt to receive payment by bank wire transfer, there will be a processing fee of $35.00 deducted from your payment amount.
How soon will I receive my payment?
Payment is typically processed within 1 to 2 business days of receiving your package. The amount of time it takes for a payment to reach you once it has been processed depends on the method that you select. Check payments sent via USPS First Class Mail usually take about 3 to 5 business days for delivery. Check payments sent via USPS Priority Mail usually take about 2 to 3 business days for delivery. Check payments sent via USPS Express Mail usually take about 1 to 2 business days for delivery. Bank wire payments usually take anywhere from 2 to 48 hours to post to your account depending on the policies at your financial institution.
Are there any other hidden fees or charges involved in selling to you?
No, there are no hidden charges, receiving fees, or other costs involved in selling gold or silver to Monarch Precious Metals.
